after seeing a picture and watching a video of Alex Hewitt the princeton goalie and i noticed his shooters were much lower on the stick then the normal position. Does this do anything like give a higher/ quicker release, more feel for the ball or any of the other reasons. Im not trying to be a little fan boy of Alex Hewitt but i would like to know the purpose of this so i might be able to expirement with this

well i pretty sure putting shooters lower on the stick will give a quicker release on a low/mid picket. Im guessing he has a U or V and its prob really tight making for as i said a quicker release.

Its all preference, I do that with my stick and it has an absolutely perfect release but others don't like it.

i'm thinking you can feel the release alot more too... especially tight like i'm pretty sure he has it...
