see ncaa rulebook 2004 (new one out Dec. 17, I hear) page 48. Rule 4-20-c
"A player is considered to have entered the goal-crease area when any part of his body touches the goal-crease area."

So what is "goal-crease area"? Go to page 12. Rule 1-4. "The goal-crease area is the circular surface about each goal within and including the goal-line itself."

Welcome to the Friendly Skies.

Point is re-emphasized page 47 Rule 4-20 AR 101 and 102.

eme,

The only thing I would add to the definition of a goal crease is: If the offensive player, while in the air, makes contact with the goalkeeper or the goal. That person has committed a crease violation as well. This applies to the rule regarding landing in the crease after a goal. Dive and it's not a goal regardless of when the ball goes in and the body touchs down after. Stroll in the goal and if the goal is scored before the player touchs the crease its a good goal.
