Tighten the top string, and sidewalls, and even maybe shooters. Take pics.

If its throwing to the right it could mean that the top isn't strung evenly. It happened w/ my stick once, I restrung the top and remade the pocket and it was shooting fine.

OR...... He is a lefty and throws sidearm and the stick has too much whip thus causing it to throw right...:naughty:

The same thing happened to me. Make a lower pocket, by taking out the bottom string and using it to make a "U" pocket. The "U" should have one row of daimonds between it and the second shooter. I had this problem yesterday, but now my stick is perfect. I could throw great, but when I shot there was sooooo, much whip. Now it throws almost the same, but shoots just how I like it, with just enough whip so I feel it snap off that top shooter. Yesterday I clocked 92mph on the radar gun at our local lax store.

The fact that it's throwing down is likely due to the stringing. The fact that it's throwing to the right could be either uneven stringing or sloppy technique. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you can throw straight with a well-strung stick.

OK, lets fix it:

Make sure your top string is straight and even, and make sure the top of the mesh is straight.

Then make sure your sidewalls are straight and even, identical on both sides.

Make sure your shooters are the right tension to form a nice smooth ramp from the pocket to the release point. For a ball-size field legal pocket, you only need two or three strings, progressively tighter towards the scoop.

Once you've got that stuff right, try moving the bottom string up one or two rows of diamonds. This will move the pocket a tiny bit higher in the head which often solves whip/hook problems.

I don't think U's or V's do much at all for hard mesh pockets, so don't waste time there.

Last thing - put on your shoulder pads, arm pads, and whatever else you wear when you go outside to test it.....with full equipment on, you can't reach quite as far back on your wind-up, and that can make a difference in how the stick throws.
