Just wondering if anyone here is going to Monmouth this fall? Its an in state school for me which helps financially so I chose Monmouth and will be going there. I know they're D1 so I don't see much of a chance for me...not that I suck or anything but Im guessing theresnt much of a chance of making the team just trying out.
anyway anyone know if theyre really good? I dont watch womens college lacrosse, mostly cause the only ones on tv are guys. also just wondering if anyone goes there, is it nice and stuff like that.

looks like they have 2 goalies on the roster....

but goalies are hard to come by...so try to walk-on and see what happens.....

monmouth womens lacrosse is usally pretty good as they consistantly are in there conference final which qualifies them for ncaa bid, so yea they are one of the better d1 teams, but hey you might as well give it a shot the worst that can happen is you get cut.....as far as the school goes, i live about 20minutes away from the campus and have been there a bunch of times....its a very nice campus in a good area and its a mile from the beach, one thing though is it is known to be somewhat of a "commuter school" so it might be dead on the weekends as most kids that live there go home on the weekends...im not going there but i have a couple friends who are, one is commuting and one is living there...hope this helps

I say give it a try. They are actually near the bottom of D1 (60 out of 85) so you have a shot at making the team

My grandparents live right down the street, the campus is nice looking, kept up to date, it is right in a middle of a neighborhood, to the beach is a good 1/2 hr walk, same street, the school is on! The nearest sports bar is the Sitting Duck, 5 min. away. It is a commuter school like the post said. I would bring a bike to school, Pier Vilage is also down at the shore, $$ shops, but the town is undergoing major multi-million $$$$ renovations. You won't recognize the downtown in 5 years! You can take a water ferry from Keyport to Wall Street as well. Jersey Tranist Line will bring you into the town and campus is only 15 min. walk from train station, hope this helps, goood luck!
