I know there are other threads almost identical to this, but i do not want to take the time to look in all of them without 'search.'
Anyways, my current gait intrepid is falling apart and i have grown out of it. I do not like having the bottom of my stomach revealed from under my C.P.
I am looking for a moderately lightweight, extremely protective C.P. But I do not want an overly restricting protector. I am a little bit overweight so I need a C.P. that is big enough to reach down over my flab (i sound a lot fatter than i am). Price is not an issue, I have been saving for quite a while.
I have been considering the RBK 9k / Warrior PC + MLL / and the Maverik CP.
tell me what you think about these, and suggestions for others.
thanks

the Maverik one is good and so is the brine eraser. just search those and you should get reviews. i would stay away from the warrior ones, they are quite bulky, and i have never used/seen an RBK CP.

i used to have a starter cp that didnt do much at all and one game i took one to the chest that shorted my breathing and gave me a huge welt so i got a brine eraser
theyre extremely protective but a little bulky you might wanna go a size smaller but id still recommend it

I've narrowed my choice down to the RBk 9K and the Maverik Dynasty, what do you guys think . . . .

The RBK feels a little bulkier to me, but its way more protective. I personally liked that one more in the store, I had a friend whack me as hard as they could with a shaft and didn't feel a thing. I'd go for protection over a little more mobility. Its not even that much bulkier.
Its longer though, covers more stomach.

Stay as far as away as the warrior pc/mll as you can get. they should just advertise them as bulky and uncomfortable.

both are nice chest protectors, possibly the best ones on the market. You can't go wrong no matter which one you buy.

I managed to find an STX Gladiator recently and bought it.. so I was pretty pleased. They aren't made anymore, are they?

No, but they are excellent CP's. I bought one 3 years ago and loved it until switching to the Eraser this past season. Both are great; I just like the Eraser a bit better in terms of being a bit less bulky up top, i.e. getting in the way a bit less.

I got the RBK 9k online, put it on when it arrived and hated it. It was light, and protective, and not very bulky, but it felt odd on my body. I was aware every second that I had it on, it just didn't fit right. So I got the maverik, and . . . . . it is beautiful, seriously it fits great and gives fanomal protection.

If you're happy with what you got, cool.
I've noticed that the more I wear my RBK 9K, the more it seems to be molding to my body. Maybe I'm just getting used to it, but when I look at it over there, it seems to look like it's taken on my shape.
I love how light yet protective it is, and that it covers my shoulder joints as well as a bit of the abdomen - two places where a solid hit can affect your play for a couple minutes.

the eraser is awesome but you need to have a bigger chest, i think. i always get my throat gaurd stuck in the top and its hard to follow shots with that. jsut annoying.

Do you mean just the little rectangular protective pads along the neck/clavicle? Which ones did you remove?

and it looks cool and we all know 90% of being a goalie is lookng cool.
