what is the worst day of practice you or your high school team have had. one day near the end of practice we ran 20 suicide sprints and then did a indian run 2 times around or track. ..

its prolly not the best thread but i just want to see what you have had please no flaming:angry:

one day i felt sick, and we were doing six on six. i couldnt catch or throw. im right handed, i was playing right handed, and my coach was like, "your lefty right? what are you doing over there"(i'm an attackman). i told him i was righty, it was embarrassing.

eh this is for a u 15 north coast chapter team try out. well the when i got there it started to pour hard rain.... then all my equipment felt 10 times heavier.. then my head fell of my shaft because didn't have enough time to screw it on properly... so used a poorly strung stick that was not mine and had like -10 whip. then the wind picked up and it was harsh and cold... then we waited for the coaches to tell us the team... for 45 minutes but the good thing is i got and alternate spot for attack and this is my second year of lacrosse

we ran 10 suicides in a row while we were still in the gym at the beginning of the season. our coaches are soft, so we dont really do anything that intense

We had to do 11 hills on the biggest hill ever.

First practice of our summer team. hot as hell and mad humid. played on turf which makes it like 10 degrees hotter and our coach put a thermomteter on the turf and it read 116' farenheit. but that didnt stop him, we did 6 on 6 for about 2 hours then went on a perimeter around the school whcih rounds out to about 2 miles

i was in 8th grade and playing with the high schoolers and i was just having a bad day. i couldn't catch the ball to save my live. Finally the coach jokingly asked did i forget my glass. Half an hour later he sent me to the school nurse to see it i needed glasses. i didn't need glasses, i just played 3 hours of wall ball after practice!!!! that cured it.

we have a thing called a beep test where you have to run across the gym before the thing bepps again...and everytime its harder than the last beep. we do it before every season so coaches sse how fast we are

When we are in the gym before the snow melts, we have some pretty bad ones.

For the last twenty minutes or so of practice we do
- an 11 (11 lengths of the basketball court)
- 20 pushups (triangle, regular, etc)
- 25 mountain climbers
- 40 situps (a variety of diff kinds)

And that counts as one quarter. We do four. Then we do suicides until our coach feels like stopping.

Fun.

That is a normal day of conditioning were I'm from.

Worst day of practice is when coach got upset and we had a 3 hour "conditioning practice"

last year it was about 100 degrees out. After every drill our coach made us do sprints.

Luckily this was varsity and i'm on JV:

They had 6am practices where the they would jog around the perimeter of the field and the coach would throw out 100 balls and call out a position. Those players would have to pick up all 100 ground balls and put them in a trash can in the middle of the field while everybody else still jogged. When they were done they would return to jogging.

They did the same thing at practice after school, too.

bearslax1234

after a dumb loss our coach made us do 30 minutes of motion. you jog around the field for a half hour and when they say sprint you sprint etc. theres sprinting, push ups, shuffling, and jumping jacks

1.6mile "perimeters" cause that was the perimeter of our school's grounds.
We would have to do normal ones and sometimes indian style with a ball.
One day it was starting practice with 2 indian perimeters(with ball) followed by sprints followed by regular perimeters

alright mine, isnt about conditioning at all, its just about a very bad day during my season, my team wasnt doing so great, and one day our bum coach came in on his Harley, now it looked like it was gonna rain, so he just left because he didnt wanna "crash"(aka get him and his bike wet) and like 10 minutes perfectly blue skies, yeah that was the worst day of my season. but its coo because he was the worst coach ive ever had, and he quit, didnt even come to the dinner he planned

no matter what, the past 3 years, its always rained all of pre-season. this year the first practice it was march 7th, temps didnt get out of the 40's all day, and it was pouring rain. my coach hired a team trainer called burke spencer, he is the most intimidating guy i have ever met, and will put you through the most pain you have ever been in your life. we did a 2 hour physical conditioning session, doing all these crazy excersizes lying on the turf just getting soaking wet. it was the coldest and most miserable i've ever been. and we still had a normal practice after that which didn't end until about 8:00 and by about 7 the temps were down in the mid 30's. a couple kids quit after that, it was the 2nd hardest day of practice in my life.

here's his link

lax is life
any day of lax is better than anything ive done my whole life
worst practice was we lost to a team on our home turf(doesnt happen often) so all the fields were being used for little kids games
we found a patch of grass 20 yards by 15 yards maybe and played on there did crazy drills sprinted nonstop and i loved it ahha
it was kinda like outdoor box cause there was fences and kids got jacked up
