surrey have the players to make the granny but having various players swapping in and out of SL and D1 it is hard for them to get a good team balance happening so they will struggle to do more then make the 4.
the rest i dont know enough about, danny if form continues will definately push for assists. cant go past ur altona boys for goals and assists though skin i dont think.

Skinny - see you've got a few on the board. Sure they havn't mistaken those for fouls :-) Just kiddin.
Hard to tell I would have thought, particulary with the Willy, Surrey. Eltham teams also harbouring S/L players. You'd have to say on stats alone - your Bro, Todor, maybe Scooter, Lewer could have picked up some votes. Best assesed after a full round where everyone has played everyone you'd think. I see Damien has grabbed a bag full of snappers against Chaddy & MCC.
I look at Eltham and they don't look that great in D1 on paper. Willy look strong, but I guess similar to Surrey have got players up and down. Would assume Dano J will head up in time.
My Vote: Anthony Cliffe B&F, Damien Cliffe R/U, Snoz Jnr 3rd.

now Im not coaching i have gone back into the mid and Im having a ball been on the D line for a few years as I was too lazy and it was too hard when I was coach.probably playing at carreer best form at the moment. Definitely not as quick as I was in my 20s but much more mellowed(much less fouls)

Altona vs Willy would be my prediction for the GF. Providing willy keep rotating SL players through D1 however this could provide some selection headaches come finals time. Etham should come in 3rd unless some more talent drops down from SL or comes up from D2. And surrey in 4th although surrey have some good young talent through the mid field and defense they are a bit light on defensively.
Most importantly 5th place will go to Camberwell. We should be able to come close to surrey and Eltham if we can manage to put together full strength line ups to face them later in the season.

Altona v Camberwel D1 8-7 altona
The chiefs played really well had a smart game plan and stuck to it, weather suited them more than us also, hard to dodge in the slop.......
their face off dominated so we didnt get 1st grab at possesion as we have most of the year....good tough scrappy wet weather lax loved it...

Yeah it was a really good game, was surprising though i wasn't expecting to get that close to you guys. If we could play like that every week (or just have that many guys show up every week) we would be legit in D1.

you guys suprised us too, what you lacked in talent was well and truely made up for with endeavor. your face off and goally both played awsome and the young guys made every GB a hard contest, look forward to the next time we meet, might be a bit different on our ground as its alot quicker than your pitch.........

Altona 22 willi 2
willy had a very different team to when we played the first time had 4 or 5 experienced players and lots of kids. Whats going on down at the fearon? injuries? will be interesting to see what their team looks like come finals time.
scoot back in S/L makes a 10 goal difference IMO
Eltham a better team at this stage but they always seem to get better as the season goes on. should be a good final series in div 1 all top 4 teams are reasonably close........

top 4 teams in D1 are tough competition.
williamstown are looking very handy, or at least they did a few weeks ago, when kade robinson and ben newman were playing for them.
Altona is solid at D1 level, as has been the case in at least the last few years, and surrey park have some very good younger players in D1 as well.
looking forward to a good second half of the season and a grand final that's definitely still up in the air.

Fair call skin, no chance we were at full strength, can't seem to keep any form from one week to the next, bit hard with so many young kids aswell. definately outplayed though. can only hope that we are back to full strength come finals.

spoke to some of the old baldies from willy on sunday at the chicks lax and they reckon most the team was under 18s or 16's and only had 2 longs? their state league ran with 14 (gibson on the team sheet tho) so i reckon they are a few short with the under 19's and injuries ..guess they played crap tho. like the panthers you know willy will turn up in the finals.
