Can anyone one give me some good cradling tips? I'm trying out for LAX this year at my school and have been conditioning for the past three weeks but I'm still having issues cradling. I'm not completly new to LAX, actually I'm the one who started the intrest in my family, but I've never played before. Everything I know now I've either learned from my two twevle year old brothers, or in the past few weeks... and the only thing I'm having a problem with is switching from guy's cradling (which I've done for a year and a half now) to women's... Can you help me?

try this just for basic tips...any craddling tips you get only go so far cause you kind of have to develop your own style once you have the basics but this site should help

Just a tip that helped me and might help you - I used to work on cradling and fakes using a tennis ball or a dollar-store rubber ball....just something much lighter than a real ball. If you can keep a tennis ball in your stick while on the run, you can certainly keep a (much heavier) lacrosse ball.

Sorry, but there's no other help I can give you with the women's game!

Thanks for the help! I'm already better... now I just hope everything doesn't get un-done when I go back to school and my coatch starts yelling at me about "opening a gate," and keeping my lower elbow in my side....

..As for the tennis ball thing... thats the only way I'm allowd to play in the house!
