I think Rochester is going to get it this year (finally). I it would be sweet if the wings won this year, but is there D as strong as championship teams of the past. Any way can't wait till the NLL season starts. I NEED MY LAX.

-Hooligan when is the wings camp starting?

Soon. I have to get my contacts to tell me the exact date. I'll see what I can dig up. Hell, right now I got time!

But the Wings defense is strong, but they are inexperienced. If Tony Resch is able to accelerate their learning curve, then we could see some real possibilities in the realm of deep playoff runs.

That would be nice to get the wings back to the championship, with Bergey back they could have a chanse, but what about the power house of the Toronto Rock are they as strong as they were last year, because I'm getting tired them winning.

Toronto will be a powerhouse for some time. But the other NLL teams are catching up to them very quickly. In fact, as there is more expansion and contraction, the Rock are actually getting weaker. The defense is just as strong, but teams like Colorado and Philadelphia are creating offenses and defenses around a different pricipal. Speed is the key against the larger and slower Canadian defenders. But remember, in order for speed to work, you must be decisive....a concept that only comes with experience in making mistakes, I'm afraid. Hopefully, the two years on the Wings, going 8-8 is going to give the young players enough ammunition to work against tough teams like Rochester, Toronto, Buffalo, Calgary, etc, that work with the large, rough-and-tumble Canadian philosophy of defense.

Time will tell, and we shall see!:agree

Calgary had their best year last year, but were too inconsitant during the season, they may have a chance if they can work out problems with renting the arena and focus on making a better team.

I think calgary is looking really good this year with who they got in the entry draft and the ottawa dispersal draft, and they're also looking to sign gee nash and two other well known players from albany so it'll be interesting

A quote from local papers

"The Calgary Roughnecks are taking a second shot at landing National Lacrosse League all-star forward Gavin Prout. Prout, along with fellow unrestricted free agents goalie Gee Nash and transition forward Derek Suddons, will be wined and dined by the team this weekend in hopes of inking the trio for the upcoming season."
