My bro is a goalie and he says that the most frustrating part about being a goalie is after a goal when you have to go in the net and find the ball. Is this true for all you goalies? If not, tell us what is.

why? if that happens, it just means you were correctly positioned. one of the biggest parts of playing goalie is being in the proper position, which would be the shortest distance you have to move to make a save.

I love it when they shoot it rite at me!It means either I'm doin somethin rite, or there doin somethin wrong...
I agree that it does suck having to get the ball outa the net, rather humiliating.
But, I REALLY hate it when the defense doesn't listen to me and they let there man slip by (damn crease rolls!)

I hate when you miss the ball by and inch or so, or the ball hits you and goes in anyway. It means you were just off position by a little bit.

Yea, that REALLY sucks...I sometimes react to fast and end up missing it... Usually happens when I go from playing w/ the guys to the girls...

I hate it when your defense lets the man by and it is a 1-0 and they shoot, hits your inside thigh and trickles in. Damn Chuck Norris!

I'm going to have to go with everyone else on D not listening. Especially the coc'ky ones that flat out think they know better than keeper. Like they can see everything around them. Just thinking about it is enough to drive one insane.

Today I was just messing around at my field and kept getting my helmet caught in the net. Argh, that is frustrating!

Our varsity goalie got beamed in the head three times at practice not too long ago. Broke his helmet and I had to keep going in for him. But I really hate when the ball hits me and then goes in. Also when I see the ball the whole way in and just can't get there fast enough.

i've only ever played goalie once (for the first half of a game) , and the thing that annoyed me is when you can obviously see what the attack man is going to do (dodge wise) and watch the defense get sucked into it. Maybe i can just spot that since i'm a regular attackman, but i keep thinking 'c'mon its so obvious!'

-i hate when ur helmet gets stuck in the net after a goal.
-those amazing shots that hit the corners, espially when u see it but u cant get there
-when ur defence misses a slide, and the guy has an open shot
-and last that happened today, when a guy from the other team is standing IN the crease and the refs dont call it, then they just pass it to him and he scores

i always get shot on by the luckiest people. I might leave a 4 inch gap between me and the pipes on one side and somehow it always goes in, and there like moving using off hand.
another one is when an easy one flies at you and you know you have it and somehow you just never feel it hit your stick and it went in somehhow
and getting the ball sucks

I hate how my one of my coaches who "warms me up" is a d#(^ and will talk trash as he's warming me up. This happens every practice, every game, and every drill that we do where he shoots on me. It kinda helps a little because sometimes I can tune him out and it won't affect me, but other times it just bothers me so much that I feel like crap the rest of the practice and don't really care how I play. Everyone hates this guy and he knows it but he doesn't care.

exact same thing with me ..i play box goalie ... so going to a guys practice and then going to a girls practice the next day ...its sooo hard going from super hard shots to little fluff shots ... i react too fast when im playing girls and then the ball just flops in ...its so ridiculous and i get so frustrated ...i play better when im getting hard shots

so one thing that really bothers me is when your at practice and you get those guys shooting on you that are complete showoffs and sit right on the crease and fake like fifteen times b4 they actually shoot .... i mean come on when would u actually be able to do this in a game ...never ... and then after they score there all like ohhhh im so good and they think that there actually like the best shooters ever ...but when it comes to trying to actually shoot ...well u guessed it... they suck !...and this is for box so i could step out of the crease and hammer the guy but .when this happens im soo frustrated anyways that i would probably hurt the guy really bad causee he is kinda small

i hate when you let up a goal that you feel go off your stick or arm or leg or sumthing. You know that if u moved another inch you would have had the save.

i dont play goalie, but i would think that the most frustrating part would be having 2 or even more goals scored on you consecutively within a short amount of time. it would just put me completely outside of where i should be and such.

i really hate it when people at your school who dont know anything about the game give you crap for letting in 8 goals but you still win.....they dont know that its usually the defenses fault that it went in because they broke down

i hate it when you brag about having a 66% save avergae and people are like "oh, i'm sorry....i thought you were good...." because they don't realize that 66% isnt't that bad....that, and getting hit in practice

I hate it when you play amazing but the other team beats you by one goal and then everyone rants on you for letting that one goal in.
I also dislike when people say they can do better than you in then don't go and prove it.

heres another 2 ...when some random beginner coach who knows nothing about lacrosse tells you how to stand in the net , and you no its completley wrong but if you say anything its being cocky or talking back .... or if a team mate who has never played goalie b4 tells you what to do in net

most frustrating is definately thinking you did everything right and still having it go in, aka garbage goals, one time i stopped a low outside shot solidly but the rebound went up over my head and in.
Anyone who said good shots are the most frustrating shouldnt be a goalie, if someone gets a good angle with good aim its gonna go in sometimes that shouldnt be the most frustrating
