I did...the only song on the main setlist that I have left to 5star is raining blood, and I'm only like 10k away.
Doesn't really seem to help my reflexes, but it's still fun

Playing regular guitar has helped and is helping the strength of my left arm.

Actually, I read somewhere that doing everything with your non dominant hand will help. I.E. flushing toilet, brushing teeth, turning on lights. But for guitar hero it should help a little, but i think if your righty you have to put it on lefty flip to work more of your left arm, because it does most of the strumming, moving fingers wont do much.

You are correct.
The reason guitar hero would help with your left hand or undominant hand is because you will become more accustom to that hand, unlike other everyday activities when you use your dominant hand (Opening doors, eating, etc.)
I was slightly ambidextrous when I first started to use my left hand for multiple things (lacrosse, sports in general and everyday activities like mentioned above) Now I am fully ambidextrous, I can shoot and play with both hands very efficiently in lacrosse. I shoot the ball with both hands in basketball, and it's natural to me...I can throw baseballs with both hands, etc.
So people, guitar hero would help your off-hand, maybe not A LOT, but it does help coordination with it, and just gets your body used to using it.
If someone would have made a thread about opening doors with their left hand...it would be just as helpful as guitar hero.

Congratulations - this is the most useless thread in the history of the training forum.
