ok my season ended like 2 days ago. But is there a right way or the right time to cut? I'm a middie and i'm finding a very hard time cutting and stuff.

how can it be hard? theyre not touching you or anything. if you feel that you have an alley to the cage, or if theres an opening you can get a dish from, go there, and yell to your team mate.

im not sure if its the same for field (since i play pole), but i know in box, if im not setting picks and stuff, ill usually cut when the balls on the opposite side of the floor (if im top-right, balls bottom-left)

As a general rule of thumb, if you are opposite the ball and have been standing in the same place for more than 2-3 seconds, cut.

when the ball is at the opposite side of you (you're up top, ball is at X), cut the cage at full speed with your stick up to look for the pass

well, you don't want to run directly to the cage, if the xman is dodging to a certain side. In this case, you want to make a diagonal cut to the man with the ball.(If you are cutting from up top to recieve a pass from the xman.).

this isn't exactly a situational time to cut, but anytime your defensemen turns away from you to watch the ball, cut hard when he's unaware of you.

Couldn't agree more...I play pole and hate the feeling that I get when I turn my head to find the ball and turn back around to check my man and my man is gone!!!!
