i have the warrior mll arm pad 4.0, i personaly like little elbow pads becasue they are comfortable and are easy to move it...even though those are medium size they have good protection but can slip sometimes. The gait flare are big arm pads tho arent they?

That's not an arm guard,
This

is an arm guard!

Seriously, what you guys wear for field amazes me. I look at something like that cute and stupid little Gait elbow pad and think, WTF wear anything at all?
Guess there's a world of difference in what's needed when you're allowed to cross check arms and slash forearms!
Funniest thing about those box guards - they protect great against stick checks, and are actually less restricting than the sleeve style guards.
A middie might not need something that heavy, but an attacker could certainly use it!
(well, lets just say middie's wouldn't need it unless an a$shole like me was also playing middie and was pressuring you....no cup? guess where my stick goes! no arm-guards? guess where my stick goes! no rib pads? guess where my stick goes, etc.)

i wear those gaits that commander keen was talking about.
their really small, but if you dont mind a few bruises on your arms after all your games, then you're set.
they're light and they dont restrict your motion at all.

I like the Warrior Revolution Air Arm Guard 5000. Comfortable, but defends against some of those nasty checks you get. Plus they're not too shiny like some of the other warrior stuff and, they're like $30 from Great Atlantic.

Their big, but very flexable and breath really well, also shiny so they match my freaks.

I have the old style( not shiny ) of the Arm Pad 5000. They are pretty big, but it feels like they aren't even on your arm. I love them, I think they work great for an attackman or a middie, but it might be too much for a Defenseman. You might want to check them out. Oh and I might have the wrong name too......let me go check. Ok they are now called the MLL Elbow Gaurds....$69.99. Expensive but mine have lasted 4 seasons with no trouble. Check them out.
