Hello Everyone,
Over the next few weeks I am going to be developing a website strictly for goalies only. What I am looking for is opinions and suggestions as to what, you as a goalie would like to see on this website. I am in this to help goalies and provide you with the information, advice and everything you want to know about being a goalie.
I too am a goalie, I finished up my college playing career last year and now feel I need to share with everyone some of my tricks and information to help everyone become better goalies.
Please list any suggestions you might have or something you would want to see. I really would like to make this happen but I am going to need your input to make sure I get this right.

There will be plenty of drills and they will be found in the drills section of the website.
I still have not come up with a suitable name yet. Anyone have a suggestion. Hows Goalieology.com

There will be a section where you can ask me questions. As well I am going to look into how I can host a message board. Hopefully there will be sections on product reviews, tips and suggestions, a section from called from the shooters eye were hopefully some shooters can share some secrets. Along with that I am trying to use some of my contacts to get other college goalies to conduct interviews with me. I want to have some questions from others in the interview so if you have a question for a particular goalie guy or girl I will try to get it answered.
Keep providing input I will take all of this in and hopefully I can accomplish this for all of us.

how about www.laxkeeper.com?
All the features look good, i would concentrate on having a few features first and updating frequently (if you have time) that'll draw a lot more readers. Viewers like forums and a lot of product reviews. After getting a stable base, then start expanding. I use to check on goalienation, but they dont update. At all.
Also, get people to help you out. I can help if you want in product reviews. Get a stable base first

see if you can get "celebrity interviews". try to get a hold of guys like bill daye, brian dougherty, sal lacossio, greg cattrano, etc. from what i've seen, pro lacrosse players love to keep in touch with their fan base.
EDIT: And keep it alive, even if it means passing it on to a new webmaster. Unlike Goalie Nation.

How to string a goalie stick, please. I need a good guide.

Interviews with current NCAA players as well as MLL players are something that I am very serious about and feel needs to be apart of the website. A stringing guide will hopefully also be available although there are so many ways to string a goalie stick. I can tell you right now the best way to string one is the very basic way. Rule of thumb try and use the lightest materials possible, its better to have a balanced stick rather than a top heavy or bottom heavy stick. You want the stick to feel like an extension of your body not a weight thats going to make your arms tired and possibly help you develop a dip or dropping of the stick while a shooter is shooting.
As well there will be attempts to include interviews with female players as well. Whether it be man or woman we can all learn different tips and make suggestions to each other.

How about a list and review of the goalie camps. It's hard to tell if a camp is geared towards goalies.

That is a tough one, LowRida, it is possible but would require quiet possibly someone who actually has first hand knowledge to write the review. Most camps will tell you what their player ratio is. Whether they take more attackman as opposed to defensemen. Generally if you ask for a brouchure or call them they will explain to you the general mission of the camp.
