so say your goin to shoot right handed while shooting and running. ( shooting on the run.) so do you plant with your left foot, then your right foot , and as soon as your right foot hits the ground you shoot? or do you start to shoot when you lift your right foot up and by the time your right foot hits the ground the ball is released.

Step with your left not with your right if you're shooting righty. Do the opposite lefty. And always finishing facing your target.

if your running down the alley and you shoot when your left leg is planted your cutting off your torque from twisting your hips. unlike a time and room you don't have that time to stop plant and shoot

Dalaxmandef3, you are thinking of a jump shot. In a jump shot you come off of your opposite foot. But shooting on the run, you would lose momentum and power if you came off of your opposite foot. haha, I see you admit that now.

In Rabes video. half the time when hes going to shoot righty his right foot plants ands then shoot. The other half he shoots before he plants his foot down. and sometimes the ball is released as his foot hits the ground.

WHICH IS THE RIGHT WAY???? so confused

You have to get used to how your shot is coming out. Shooting sidearm is also going to change your shot as opposed to shooting overhand which is recomended. *cough*MikeyPowell-hits-a-cheerleader*cough*. But make sure you are running towards the cage if you are dodging from up top, not to the sideline.

Practice, practice, practice. Pay a lot of attention to your form at first, until all your shots are going where you want them, and keep practicing. You'll get it.
