i'm a second year goalie and i was wondering witch was better for goal: a goalie sized shaft or an atk/mid sized shaft?

you cant let other people tell you what is best. everyone has different preferences... you just have to try both and see what works.

It really does depend on what you prefer.The guys goalie at my school told me it was better to use a middie stick, so I tried it and it just didn't feel right to me.It depends on how short/long you want your stick to be.

i personally prefer goalie w/ a cut 4 inches in.

I bought my shafts in goalie length and then cut them down to 34".

Deffinently all preference. If I was allowed to use a goalie shaft, I would but I would cut it down. Too bad I can't though

On plastic heads, I use a goalie shaft as it is. If that's not an option, I use a longpole and cut it down to goalie length.
However, on wood sticks, i cut the shaft down to four inches less than any metal goalie shaft in the market. The drawback to doing this on a wood goalie stick is the the balance gets thrown off when a portion of the stick is cut.

Hey lilaxgurl, I think mine is legal... What happens if it isn't and you get caught at a game?
