any help doing a dropstep transition thing? im clueless.

set up cones in a zig zag formation ex. x= cone, 5 yards between each cone
-----------x2---------------------x4
x1---------------x3----------------------x5
go from 1-5 in a zig zag pattern
first from x1 to x2
approach then breakdown before you reach the cone. once you break down throw a poke check/lift then drop step down to the next cone x3.
Then from x3 to x4 approach and break down before you reach the cone. Upon reaching the cone throw your check then drop step to x5.
repeat
This drill is pretty good for working on drop stepping. Another good drill for drop stepping is to do the "Alley Drill".

what is a break down? i do not really get your drill sorry. also what is the alley drill?

set up two cones, about 4-5 yards in between them. stand behind a cone so that you are facing the two cones. the two cones are in a vertical line from you perspecitive.

------||----- W= stand here
------||----- ||=1 yard
------||-----
------||-----
------X------
------W------
now, shuffle and dropstep a figure eight around the cones... you'll figure it out when you set it up. throw a lift or a poke when you feel appropriate
breaking down is when you bring your stick down and out in front of you, with the head of the stick pointing where the man's bottom hands would be. your legs are bent at the knees

YES that is the point of breaking down, its ready position. meaning ready to play some defense boy

i do all that cone crap...but my favorite is to just lay your stcik on the ground and hop over it as fast as possible for like a minute and then do it with one leg right leg first or left leg first for a minute to.
