Catchy topic title here eh. Anyways, I am a beginner, just bought my equipment (gloves, shaft/head, a ball to practice with) and was wondering how I do the basic things in lacrosse, such as cradling, shooting, catching, scooping etc.

I played a little bit of wall ball. It's hard to catch the ball when it comes back to me on the left side, what do I do? Is there some sort of site with videos or something I can check out?

Someone said that avoid 'raking' the ball up so it comes backwards into my stick...how should I avoid that?

Any other tips?

Thanks for any advice.

um...
i think this is something that needs to be 'showed' to you, not told to you. try and get someone you know that plays to elp you out

i agree with the above. welcome to the forums. and if you have any other questions (like stringing, pockets, etc.etc.) DO A SEARCH!

and remember: the only way to get better is to pratice! so even if you cant always catch the ball or whatnot-stick with it. You'll get there eventually.

Yep. Sorry to close your first thread, but this is a hard one to get a good answer on. But I'd do a search on our huge site, then find people that play the game, because it's very, very hard to describe a lot of these things.
