yea like hrlax said, you can do both, but i used to take it after my workout and before bedtime

In the future, you should search these things before posting...
That being said, all that you really need to know about whey is that it is digested by your body very quickly which makes it a great peri-workout option.
Its also good int he mornings because your body is often in a catabolic state and the quick acting proteins will help put your body in an anabolic state.
Don't get carried away though, your breakfast needs fiber to help kickstart your metabolism, so if you have a shake, eat some food as well.
Whey is a generally a bad option before bedtime because of the aforementioned info.

You can do both, but usually its best for breakfast, a snack, or after lifting. Eat too much and you'll just pee it out. Oh yeah, Casein protein is for b4 bedtime.

use it after your workout and inbetween meals. but definetly after your workout, your muscles need it to repair and build.
you could take it before your workout for energy but your better off just to eat something.
