Is it cardio? thanks for the help

wow...11 pounds in two weeks? My guess is that you're losing water and muscle mass rather than fat depending on what you're doing.

i dunno what im doing i cut out the fast food cookies stuff like that im actually eating salad (which i never did) having whole wheat everything, egg whites and a lot of chicken breast...so im eating better, and working out everyday instead of like 3 days a week.

Do some cardio, eat less calories. That's the best way to lose body fat, except liposuction i guess.
How are you calculating your bf%?

yea, your probably still losing alot of fat, but you will still have alot of fatt tissue show you wont be able to tell exactly how much % your losing, probably till the tissue starts going down... or at least this is just my guess. probably not right. but i heard somethen like that.

its prolly not acurate but my scale does it my family has our heights programmed in then it weighs you and then it gives your bf %

How would the scale know?

yea, it cant depict muscle mass. and you need that, weight, and hight, to get a decently accurate body fat% rating... or just one of those machines that pinches your skin in differant areas and you adverage the numbers.

Yeah, you can do the same thing online at websites; it asks for your height and your weight and a calculator spits out a number. That's probably why your scale shows you only dropping 1%, it's even less accurate than calipers.

Try going to a gym or a professional and having them use special machines designed for the purpose of calculating the body fat %. I can tell you now your scale is a couple percentage ponits off AT LEAST. It just takes your age, weight and height and putting into a formula. This doesn't take into acount your muscle mass, bone mass or water weight. I would recommend maybe going to a professional once every month or two during your quest to drop bf% and keeping record of your progress, not only will it be accurate, but it'll make you feel darn good when you see the numbers drop.

its not a big deal to me it was just confusing why i was losing weight but body fat was staying the same

Well in that case your scale may be a crack addict. Its giving you an inaccurate read out. Get a new scale :nut:. Unless you lost 11 pounds but gained enough weight to even it out somewhat, so that the muscle weight and water weight you gained was sufficient to make it only a 1 or 2% difference. The scale can't tell the difference between the muscle, water and fat weight.
