the only good teams they ahve beaten are uconn and maybe west virginia. Id say they are extremely overrated. Maybe they should get a tougher schedule.

ESPN.com says 53-41 with 14:50 left in the second half. Against Pitt.

Get your facts straight.

BC has the 39th ranked strength of schedule this year. It isn't exactly high but, oh look, Illinois's SOS is ranked 96th. And hmm...isn't Illinois ranked number one? Syracuse also has the 89th ranked SOS, and they're #7. GA Tech's is 27th, not too far from BC, and they have 4 losses this year.

BC has the fourth ranked RPI in the country. Many people may see this as a weak miscellaneous statistic, but it's a very popular scale system used throughout the sports world, and a tool used in predicting NCAA tourney seeds. Scratch that, soon to be 3rd ranked RPI since Kansas lost today.

BC has also not played a single team outside Division 1. And, the Big East isn't exactly a "chump" conference.

Purdue, Providence, and Oregon have the 3rd, 4th, and 5th hardest schedules in the country. So they're better then BC?

Good teams? I guess you're only calling good teams ones that are ranked. In reality, any of the top 65 teams in the country are ranked, because those 65 will make the tournament, and will probably have 20 wins.

I guess the only way BC will earn respect for you is if they beat those old beaten up names like "Duke, Kansas, Kentucky", or any team in the ACC. Well, BC will be playing in the ACC next year, so we'll see.

It's also not like BC is some fluke team. They were in the top 10 a couple years ago, and are consistently in the NCAA tourney.

I guess the non overrated teams for you are the teams with a legacy and are consistently in the top 25. Or better yet any team from the ACC.
How is BC going to get respect from you? Play a bunch of teams in the ACC and Big Ten/Big 12

And I guess you just won't think a team is good unless they're one of those big names like Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, UNC, etc.

First they could beat St. Johns by more than 6 points. Here let me tell you some of the teams they have played, Maine, New Hampshire, Clemson, LIU Brooklyn, yale (won by 2), those are just a few. Play someone hard. Not all these cup cakes.

Duke is in fact overrated. The only reason they are undefeated is quite simple. They haven't played anyone yet. All of their tough games come late for TV ratings purposes. Their first real test is at Wake Forest coming up. J.J. Red. can't bail them out every time.

As for BC, enjoy it while it last. The ACC will eat them up like they are doing to Virginia. Bahlee dat.

ok obviously none of the doubters here have watched the program recently
they used to be terrible but skinners turned the program around
craig smith is a 6'7 250 banger who can handle the ball
jared dudley is a 6'7 sf who has an array of skills and is only getting better
sean williams is a 6'10 shot blocker who is one of the best athletes in d1
sean marshall and steve hailey are solid players who will need to step up next year in the acc
nate doornekamp is a solid center who can hit the 3 at 7'1
altogether they play very well together and after having watched almost 10 seasons of them this is by far the best team and has the potential to get to the final four and make some noise in the acc

so I'm not really paying attention to college BB but is Virginia Tech really taking the ACC by storm or is it just them having a good year for a sophmore team?

Well, not by storm, but they are doing good. They have some pretty close ACC wins, and ACC wins arent easy to come by. But UNC whipped them in Blacksburg, so they aren't quite 'storm' material.

Glad to see Duke lost. So overrated. So so overrated.

BC is nothing special. They will be a 4 or 5 seed in the tourny.

#4 in the ACC in their first season & with a new head coach. The win over Ga Tech was nice too. I think I better take advantage of my free season tickets to the bball games. I was at the UNC game and vowed not to come see Duke or Wake but I think I might have to rethink that.

Go to the Duke one. I don't think Wake will be losing much anymore.

UCONN will be good again one day. It's tough when the only sport your state is good at is college basketball. Rudy Gay is an awesome player to watch though he's huge. He'll be a real good player in a year or two. As far as college basketball goes though UCONN is about as far as my knowledge goes.
