I was wondering if it is legal for the goalie to go out of the crease, get the ball, and run back into the crease for the 10 seconds that you are allowed to have the ball for (till you throw it)....Any feedback?

If you get the ball in the crease and go out, you have to be played and then if you want to go back in you have to roll it in and then you can go in after it. You can not walk in with it. Also, you may roll it in if you recieved the ball outside of the crease. You get 10 seconds for everytime you go in the crease. Wow, your up early :)

little clarification, you either have to be played (stick checked or defended by an opposing player) or the ball has to be played (made a pass to another teammate and then received it back again or had a pass blocked by a defender)

Once a goalie leaves the goal circle, they are just another field player. A goalie can not carry the ball into the crease and lilax mentioned, roll the ball in and do NOT let your stick go into the crease when you are doing it! If you carry the ball in or the stick goes in the crease, its a goal circle violation, attack gets the ball no the 12 - goal line extended.

In the goal circle you have 10 sec, seems like a short time but take your time and decide what you want to do. Some goalies forget, you can walk the ball out of the crease. Try it and watch the defense react. Anyone that comes to cover you could leave another person open for a pass.

Once you take the ball out of the crease, listen to CTLaxer, got to have the ball played before it can reenter the crease.

Girls Lacrosse - you get full 10 seconds to clear the ball.

From the manual - "When the ball enters the goal circle, the goalkeeper or deputy ahs 10 seconds t oeithor pass the ball from inside the goal circle or to exit the goal circle with the ball in her possesion."

Boys - I believe is 5.

haha I have never seen that, did they just like stand there and then the whistle blew? But our refs count for us, usually the last five seconds but if you ask, they should do the whole 10 seconds.

If a goalie leaves the Crease to block a shot is that considered OBSTRUCTION?

Why would the goalie leave the crease to block a shot? Wouldn't they just stay in the crease?

But, rule 18-B-6 says ... if a goalkeeper blantently attemps to stop a shot on goal by playing the ball off her body while outside of the goal circle, it shall be called a major foul.

Is that what you are talking about?

The Goalie came towards the offensive player to cut down the angle.

She wasn't trying to play the ball off her body she came out with her stick up to block the shot

Gary - that's shooting space (see other thread I think you started). If she leaves the crease and is not within a sticks length of the person she is defending she is in shooting space. That is an immediate whistle to stop play. Set up shot in the 8m with the goalie behind on the 12 and the net EMPTY.

Goalie is a field player if she leaves the goal circle.
