Fat Old Man was sucking wind with the best of 'em and had a great time! Ended up never playing D, probably since I left the pole in the car - I'll bring that in next time. Nope, they put me down on attack, for crying out loud! Managed to complete a pass rightie and lefty. Set one pick. Covered a couple of ground balls. Bounced a couple of passes off of my chest and shoulders. Took one good hack on the wrist and chased a loose ball through the crease. I learned how to put on the gear (including a cup for the first time in my life (never needed one of those to ride a bike). And pulled up my shorts at least a dozen times.
We play again in two weeks and my TTD list includes:
Wearing my glasses now that I've figured out how to get them on under my helmet.
Bring the pole in from the car.
Catch a pass.
Get some hockey suspenders for my shorts.

Instead of getting suspenders you could just were shorts with a tie on them.

WRONG, Acording to the Websters Dictionary of Tyler Boeckers Imagination,
1) Fun=winning.
I mean duh!
Thats awsome though. sounds like you had a good time, and about the glasses, i really do preffer my contacts because i get knocked about alot and my glasses have a tendency to fall off if im say, walking. And i would deffinatly not recomend D, now sure it might sound fun, hitting and sliding, and what ever D men do, Stick with attack. Scoring is the only reason to play a sport.
^^^ 90% not serious ^^^

It took me a while to figure that one out, too. But you probably want to get some of those glasses straps, because after I am involved in a collision, about half the time I need to get off and fix my glasses. The other half of the time the game stops because I just destroyed some poor soul.

I like wearing my contacts over glasses when playing because 1. see better, 2. no sweat in eyes

thats great, it sounds like u had fun! as for glasses you can try those glasses strap things. a kid on my football team has those googles and dosnt have a problem, plus he looks beastly with them on.

I'd definitely recommend getting some contacts. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't like having to adjust them and try to wipe the fog off 'em during games.
If you do get contacts, wear 'em all the time, not just for games. You won't notice them at all.
After I made the switch, my game play got better by a factor of 2.

definitely. I forgot my contacts one day for practice...and it was, well, interesting. I can't focus on stuff as well with glasses, so when things are moving it's hard for me to follow them. Luckily it was a short practice.

WRONG. What he needs are those super-sweet goggles. The giant ones that look like dive goggles. Man, those are hardcore. Wimpy attackmen will cower at your cool eyewear.

Glad you got in a game so soon! You'll love it. As you master the basics (position playing, passing, catching, shooting) it gets even better!

Are you kidding or what?
Best solution - Get the single-use disposable lenses for your once/twice per week sports, keep your glasses for all other times.
They end up not costing all that much because you can easily stretch the single-use lenses for two or three uses without problems...they're only marginally weaker than the "2-week" disposables

Sounds like a great time!!! Good luck in the next game!!!
I can't wear contacts. I just go without my glasses and that works out just fine. As far as fog goes, that's no reason not to use your glasses. Soap will stop them from fogging up. That's what I always used to do when I played hockey.
