I'm not reallly sure where to put it so I put it under training...

My question is how to treat a jammed finger if there is anything to do because it has been happening to me alot since basketball season started and I have yet to find anything that helps?

I used to get them playing baseball, I dont think theres really anything to help it. I usually either taped them up or just pulled on the jammed finger and sucked it up till after the game. After a while you just get used to them, and they dont really hurt that much.

You yank on it until you hear a pop.

Yeah, if you pull it to pop it, it will feel better, but this is very dangerous and there are problems with possible dislocation, etc. I highly dissapprove of pulling jammed fingers, but one of my coaches did this for me before I was told that it is dangerous and it worked very well.

Actually, and I know this sounds really stupid, but you might want to see a nurse/coach/sports doctor. I jammed my finger pretty bad, it was swollen like they usually get. Well it turns out most of the swelling was it being dislocated, but i didnt do anything about. I never "poped" it back in, assuming it would go back as usual. Now it wont go back in. So my right index finger has a sick bump on it. I forget what its called, but its when its supposed to break but instead dislocates because you have strong enough bones. (milk!) So if you think its a bad one, get someone who knows to check it out.
