I have playe dlax since my jr year in college, i live in massachusetts and around here it is a rather new sport, last year i was a freshman at college, it was only a D3 school but thats all i really wanted. Something with little stress. I played lax and we were not that great but we did fine and i had the season of the century and got a lot of awards and stuff, but this year i am haveing a hard time forming a team, last year we got a new coach and not very many people liked her so many quit and lots graduated. Which leaves me wondering how i am able to help my coach form a team, currently we have 8 people. I mean we get girls they come to one practice and they are out and never come back. How can i find the girls who will stick with it and be some what good b/c losing is never fun. If u have any ideas on what i might be able to do it would be appreciated!!! Thanks

Well I am not in college but I have been to a few. But I know there must be some places where you can hang flyers and what not. Post flyers aksing if anyone wants to play, explain that its fun but needs hard work, and then maybe allow them to come to practice or something to try it out. I don't know, you probably won't get a lot of girls that have played before, but who knows.
This is a great idea and the coahc and i have tried it. We got a couple girls to come to the meeting but then they never came back. I think it was because of the work required. I know that it is a D3 school but we have 5am practices to avoid any clashes with schedules and alot of people really don't like that so after they see the times most i think forget it. But it is a good idea and i guess that i can try it again and us Spring Break as an insentive :nahya:
