main problem is that they're only available in certain colors. my girlfriend was going to buy a pair but then she realized she couldnt get them in my school's colors.

I also think that the girls are expirimenting with the other goggles because the iris tend to be annoying on the forehead and the newer ones tend to have better vision. Maybe the Iris pro will be better though.

The Iris is an old model. No one wants to buy it because the 4sight are out and the new Cascade model is out.

I would personally like to see more women's deals too. Maybe a couple different pairs of the new goggles every so often, a deal on a dye or stringing, women's UA, etc. Same as the guys but women's gear.

Uhh...let me just say that I just got my team's order of 4sights in...holy crap. These things are a billion times better than concepts or iris'. Much better vision, better form and fit, just better in every respect. Plus about 10mins after passing them out to my girls, one of them took a ball to the goggles and it worked like a charm. Money well spent!

Seriously though, the iris is like wearing a zoo cage on your head, not too mention that a few of my girls bought some over the summer for the all star express and they're already broken and they were only used for the tournament and practice 2 days a week beforehand. Seriously crappy product if you ask me, disappointing to hear it came from cascade. That's my $0.02 on why no one wants to buy them, even on sale.

i want the new iris's or 4sights they both look pretty good, but my whole team matches and all the new players are ordering them with the team too and we all have the old iriss soo i cant really just go get new ones without standing out

it's amazing how small the 4sights are and the gel/rubber is very comfortable..however color are limited...they only had gray when I bought mine...i think sportsherway.com has other colors exclusive to them...any word on the debeer vista..(bacharach has them on backorder) it's really hard to tell if they are as small the stx....but you can really customize them, they have different colors for the frame and cage...and ljlax forget about matching the team go with what's more comfy...plus you can see a lot better thru the 4sights..not as many blindspots....

OK...you definitely gave me an earful and I understand and agree with most of what you said. As for the women's only deals...sure...this Friday I'll hook you guys up...make sure that you are subscribed to our email letters by going on to our website and going to the contact us page to get yourself set up. I try to mention all the deals that get emailed out but it doesn't always workout. You guys let me know...what type of deal do you want...be specific and I'll put it through to my guys and we'll see how close we can come.

As for the deBeer Vistas they are off backorder...the problem is that they are out of black straps for another couple of weeks at deBeer and therefore we can't fill any of those orders.

The colored cage is overrated. I tried on a yellow cage pair, and all I could do was look at the bars even though they weren't in my direct line of eyesight. The chrome or silver color bars are your best bet. Chrome is the easiest color to look past and generally everyone stocks it.

I could use a cool gear bag to carry all my coaches crap in, I have a warrior zephyr and I am not pleased with it. And seeing as how you're asking the girls, the safest thing to do is make clothes be the special, I don't know a girl that can resist a sale on clothes :-P

What type of bag do you want...what didn't you like about your current one? We have one made by WebGear that we're getting in in about two weeks that is a sling pack. It's dark Green with a yellow print on it...It's something that we've been selling on the team side of things pretty sucesfully and enough people have requested it that we'll start carrying it for individual sales but like I said that's still about two weeks away. I'll look around at the clothes we have and come up with something...

Well, seeing as how I coach them, and I routinely have girls come to practice wearing hot pants or short shorts, or designer tank tops to practice in....a safe bet is clothes.

Anyways, the zephyr's material isn't standard nylon or whatever it is that's on a regular backpack. It's like a cheap feeling plastic like material. It's not water proof, so that benefit is out, and it makes the bag really stiff and a pain to zip up. Also, the place for your stick goes right through the middle of the bag. I had planned on filling it with books for while i go to class and then just slapping my stick in there and with some gear and head off to run practice, but I can't.

A decent bag would be a heavy nylon, for reference I'll use my North Face miwok backpack for material comparison and perhaps water proof? (if it's nylon, you can scotch guard it, you can't scotch guard the zephyr because of it's plastic like material). Also, the slot for your stick should either be on the outside, maybe on the left or the right, depending on which side the shoulder strap is for the sling. That doesn't mean some bungee cord like straps criss crossed on the outside that can "maybe" be called a stick holder, but a genuine lacrosse stick holder. It should have a cell phone or sunglasses holder on the sling going across your chest. And it should also not be limited in colors based on gender. I keep seeing a great looking sling bag in pink and slate....as a male, I will never buy it even if it is the best one around. Either make colors that will appeal to both genders, or keep it simple like black, red, blue, colors that will sit well with either gender. It should be able to hold my books during class, and then my needed lacrosse gear (stick, notebook with plays, clipboard, tape, pens, cell phone, keys, camera, etc etc etc). Another issue with the zephyr is because it's so stiff, if you only have your stick, or 1 book or something in the bag, it's so stiff that it holds it shape and doesn't sit right on your back. So you walk around with the unoccupied portion sticking out far from your back and usually out to one side. Makes you look and feel stupid, as well as not be very functional. This problem with the zephyer is due in part to the interior stick holder, the massive foam padding on the outside of the bag where it hits your back, and the stiff & ungiving material the bag is made out of. Another good aspect which is constantly over looked is loop holes and little plastic/metal rings placed around the bag variously. They can be used for a number of things from tying cleats to, cliping on a set of keys, or using a carabiner to attach a water bottle, etc etc. Usually a few on the strap, as well as on the sides are good. Oh yeah, and QUALITY zippers/clips/buckles. Nothing is more frustrating then not being able to zip/unzip something, or have a plastic buckle snap because it was not a quality part or overlooked by the desiner/manufacturer. Northface has great bags with high quality, I highly suggest you use them as a reference if you're going to be making custom bags, or maybe even see if they'll accomodate you with a special design(hey, a guy can dream right?)

How's that for being specific? If you guys at bacharach could make a bag exactly like that, I'd buy one and possibly have my team buy them too if the execution was done properly. I'm sure other lacrosse players would like them too.

Another thing, the zephyrs cell phone holder is A: not attached to the bag, so it slides around and gets in the way, and B: the clip for the sling is dead center on your chest, so the cell phone holder gets stuck on it and makes it so you can't undo the sling easily. Have the clip be by the base of the bag (where it hits on the respective hip, and have the cell phone thing be attached to the bag, in a not too high place. It's better to be lower than higher (i don't want to reach over my shoulder to get my phone, the middle of the sling or lower is fine. look around some of the current school bags or carryon bags for good positioning. ok, i think that's it. :-P

OK...I didn't have time to put an UnderArmour deal together for this weekend but hopefuly I'll get one out soon. In the mean time my marketing guys put together a little collection, a couple of shirts and some mesh shorts in all sorts of colors. These are some shirts that we did last summer and were really popular but since we're coming out with a whole new line of shirts and shorts I figured we'd get them to you at a serious discount to make room for the new stuff. Speaking of...I met witht he UnderArmour guys and they said that they are really going to be focusing on girls this year. I got a chance to checkout some of the samples for next fall...you guys are gonna love it!!! The problem is, like I said, it's not coming out till next fall but it's worth the wait!
