I know you have to wear a throat guard, chest pad and gloves to play goalie, but do any goalies wear the shoulder pads and arm pads that all the other positions wear as well?

Why would a goalie wear shoulder pads along with the chest protector?

there's a chest protector that has shoulder pads attached to it...can you honestly say you've never seen it? it's been out for about 3 years. it's made by warrior.
Yes I understand that that but look what he said...

i havent ever seen someone wear players shoulder pads because they not only restrict movement but also are much too thin.

yo ur missing cup, u gotta have the cup. SOme goalies wear the goalie pads for ur thighs but i dont like em, and i thought it made u a *****. I wore them in 8th grade and havent since, they really limit ur movement though they make shots nearly painless (if u cant deal with the pain, get out of the cage)

I have been playing in college for 4 years now, and after trying everything I have just gone to wearing field hockey field players shin guards, gloves, cup, helmet and chest protector....everything past that is just too restricting, but my first year in the goal I did wear arm guards....

STX chest protector, thoart guard, gloves, cup, helmet, mouth gaurd and STX exo shin guards(those white moldable ones. They are really tight and don;t restrcit movement at all.) I had a shin injury to my left leg too, and I decided just to protect the right along with it.

The cup doesnt because its really cushioned well and adjustable, it kinda floats away as u run if u wear compression shorts, it works great and is more comfy than a regular ive found

I guess if you're bony, you can bulk up with Warrior or STX padded shorts they sell. However, you are giving your opponents an opportunity to make fun of you. It's bad enough to have a goal scored on you, even worse when somebody ridicules your poofy shorts...
