i dont think many of us had tried the viking, but a lot of us like the cpx(mine comes in 4 weeks)
My thought is that you should put this thread in the right forum. Like, always. Read the two stickies I started in general. MOVED!

my feeling on this is that Warrior only recently got into the helmet busineesmaybe 5 years ago. Whereas cascade has been in the lacrosse helmet business since lacrosse was becoming widespread. Cascade is a proven and true helmet while the Viking is a risk, if i were you i would definitely get the cpx

Plus the CPX has size inserts. that is what i like a lot about it, you can use a CPX for a long time while u can grow out of the viking...

I really like the CPX. Just got it the other day, but wow the vision is a huge difference.t I see on your profile that you have a cascade helmet, but the cpx has better vision than any other cascade. The cpro has tunnel vision compared to the cpx. The size inserts are nice, and since cascade has been making helmets longer than warrior, I'd go CPX any day.
i just got my viking today and so far i like it, it looks great and hopefully performs just the same, the inside is like coolmax or vaportek, so it's really nice and soft for comfortable

Never tried the viking, nor do I know anyone that has one so I cant really comment on it, other than it looks good, but the CPX is way better than any other helmet. Lighter, better vision etc. It is woth the extra over the cpro

that doesnt look too bad, but going on what i can see it looks as tho a cpx has more padding.

the Viking with titanium facemask is only about $170 right?

The CPX's pads conform to the player's head, unlike the Viking...

Well i went yesterday to reregister for my summer team and i had to fill out the equipment form with all my sizes and stuff and i discovered we are getting vikings...they had them to try on and get ur size....well i must say it pretty nice...the padding is mad comfortable the vision is nice...its pretty light...and it looks ill too...i would take the viking over the cpx mainly because of the price, and that you can get ti mask for about the same price as a cpx...expand the horizons and get away from cascade

Im still a fan of the c pro to be honest...my fav helmet is by far the triad though...like if one guy has it on a time its not that cool but when i a whole team has em (i.e. rutgers) it is slammin

wrong again, the vikings pads also form to your head, and since i didn't wear any inserts in my old cpx the fit is almost identical, but the vikings vaportek lining is very nice

:ahhno: No, the Viking contours to the back of the head, not the back and top like the CPX. :bye:

Nope, not seeing anything that proves the manufacturer/distributor wrong...
u can see where the padding gets thicker and is softer around the top of the head and in the back

Nope. It's not. Everyone shut up.
o well whatever i'm just telling everyone that it fits nice almost indentical to a cpx except it has more padding by the temples, i have the helmet and can actually talk about the fit and performance
