Butt ends

Do you need to have a butt end on your stick? i just use some masking tape to cover the end.. will a ref make me get one or is this ok?

There has been a rule change on this recently. People used to tape on a bottle cap but that is no longer allowed. Think you actually need an endcap now. Anyway they cost almost nothing, you probably pay as much for the roll of tape.
