there are very small differences between the 2, if they actually are 'improvements' is up to each individual though. They changed the padding on the top of the glove near the thumb, its a different shape than the freaks. The Mac's are also a little bit wider and have more room inside the glove, not as tight fitting as the freaks. Both are great gloves and are very very similar, can't go wrong with either

I'd get the MacDaddies because when you're spending that much on a glove you but as well get the improved pair for the extra 20 or so.
TrSouthLax are you from Toms River?

hes probably a stupid newby who only thinks that macs come in the ltd. i have the macs and they are great, get them. i know someone who had freaks since they came out then got macvs when they came out and said his macs were more flexible after 1 or 2 games than his freaks were when he got his macs.

What's your point? I bet they played before they discovered this site. If Powell signs up and posts something, are you to call him a newbie? :ahhno: No. Zip your lips.

Okay I went to this lacrosse store near my house a couple days ago to try on gloves and was surpised by what I found...Superstar IIs are much much much much more comfortable than any other glove I've ever tried on, and they were less than Superfreak too.. I'd recommend those.. If I didn't order my Defts a week ago I would have bought those on the spot

Warrior and STX are 1 and 2 in terms of heads and gloves. STX makes the best gloves. Warrior makes the best heads (it's close, though). Ignitor was the best lax glove made; the palm is ridiculous. Now, they no longer sell them. Glad I still have a pair. Warriors will rip before the season ends. That is, of course, if you do not already break a finger...

i've got custom Mac Daddys. They've got great protection, flexablility (the cuff is awesome), they are an all-round great pair of gloves. And they look sweet too!

I got the Daddies, their pretty nice once their broken in. They cut them small though, but I like that cause i like the control that you get with that tight of a fit. you cant ask someone to pick out/rate gloves for you dude, you gotta get out there and just try them out and see which ones you like. Defiently dont buy the mimited edition ones, its the biggest waste of money ive ever seen for a pair of gloves. And besides warrior only made like 600 of them.

no question, u should get mac daddies. im wearing them right now because i just got them so im trying to get used to them and they feel amazing. they will last you a while. i like them the most cus they have so much padding on the thumb. now since i play goalie that helps a lot....A LOT!! :nut:

I say the mac daddies any day, same great glove, more protection espeacially for middies or attackmen, becuase their hands are getting chopped all day.

NO CONTEST for me. i tried both on. the superfreaks r all the said to be. i knew the hype for them was huge and they met it. the mac daddy's i was ready to be blown away when i tried them on, but the seams rub wrong on my knuckles on the inside and i don't like the feel personally. i had one on each hand at the same time, and freaks for sure for me. heck, i liked the superstar 2's better.
maybe this is just my hand size because these seem to be gettin great reviews, but they were my least favorite

also, i didn't like the thumb it felt super wierd, pretty hard and immobile

Well i have the superfreaks and i hope to get the mac daddy's because they arent shiny and all that
get freaks. I have em and i like em real good except there a little tight. I think there isnt really much difference between the freaks and mac daddys unless you go to the limited edition macs that have the leather palms and stuff(please dont flame me if im wrong)

Im not sure about the about the superfreaks, but the MacDaddys only come in one size, but it fits everyone for the most part. Either way, as long as you break the gloves in perfectly, they should both be a great buy.

i got the super freaks last week and after a few practices and 2 games today.. I already see some wear.. the leather or whatever is starting to fray at the end of some of the pads and the palms are already getting worn down. Other than that I love them
