just have the team line up and crank shots at him, he'll get hit a lot and realize it's not the end of the world. if that doesn't work, you're in need of a new goalie.

give him tons of pads.... arm pads leg pads everything.... and shoot away.... another thing i did to build up reflex..... put 1, 2, 3 on a balls then have all 3 balls thrown at the same time not hard but a decent speed then call out a # and have him try to get it.... go alot of having him follow the ball just on fakes..... use tenis balls if hes afraid

Wouldn't finding a new goalie be easier? That feer will be tough to conquer, he has to do it on his own. Our goalie still flinches once in a while, and it drives me nuts. My new favorite drill is to take away his stick, and take a medium shot about chest height, but have him step into it to block it. He hates it, and knows it's his punishment for flinching.... not that I could do his job. You just need that special kid...

Just have him switch postions, and find a new goalie, that would be a lot easier
