hey guys,

my lil bro is in 7th grade and he started to get into training and stuff. I think he's fast for his grade but he wants to do forty's so i said next weekend i will time him for him.

What were your 40 times in 7th grade? what would be a really good time?

well i ran the mile in 7th grade and got a 5:54 and i was a slow sprinter but i could get great explosions. and in that grade on gravel with tennis shoes i got a 5.28 so yeah im in eighth now haha

anything near or around 5.5, less than 5 is great, i ran a 4.75 as a 9th grade freshman

wow didn't know I was going to cause such a commontion. I did play hockey and plyos (90% shure they convert slow twitch fibers into fast twitch fibers) but on a mile I can only get 6:30. It's hockey season right now so I'm not doing any running but near spring ill take a video of me running my 40. Hopefully if I get around to training I can decrease that to a 4.6. Haha my ideal goal is below 4.4. =P by the way I'm in 9th grade now if anyone cares...

My lowest around 7th grade was 5.1, average around 5.2 or 5.3

First off, the fact that it is hand timed may add/ subtract time off his 40. I am not critizing your reaction time, just being realistic. I would say 5.5 and lower, it really depends on his position and size. Since you said he thinks hes fast, I would say a 5.2 sounds obtainable.
