In my opinion, i have pretty good skills. I hit the wall a lot, shoot on my net all the time, and all that good stuff. i can catch and pass very well and my shot is fast and accurate. I'm also not small, 6' tall and i have pretty decent speed. The problem i have is when in comes to games. I can't seem to score or get oppurtunities to score. idk what's wrong whether it be confidence or something else. please give your opinion.

Do you seem to have a problem with thinking that you're selfish? I know plenty of guys who'll pass just because they don't want to be selfish.

If you think you've got the best opportunity to score, go for it.

If you're as good as you say(and I believe you) then it's probably a matter of confidence and mentality.

What do you do when you get the ball?

i have this problem also.. i think for me its if i shoot i feel like i need to score.. and if i dont.. then i suck... you just need to shoot and not worry so much about missing and stuff...

You more than likely just do not want to let your team down by missing a goal or a getting stuffed or whatever. But do not think like that, just do what you think will be best for the team, whether it be driving in for a feed at crease, taking that crankshot when your open, etc. Don't worry about it if you miss the shot or something, it's not the end of the world. Be more confident with your own abilities and more opportunities on the field will eventually begin to come.

I used to be a feeder player as a junior, now that I am a senior my coach wants the seniors to step up and take control of the game. At first I had trouble with shooting instead of feeding then something just clicked and now if I am left open I take the shot. Its all a mental thing. Not all players are shooters and every team needs a few feeders or they won't be successful.

That used to be my problem too, I didn't know what the problem was but I was fed up with it, I called up some friends for a scrimmage 3 times a week over the summer. It helped a little but nothing significant. A few months ago I started a workout program that focused mainly on speed and agility. Since then we've still been doing the scrimmages and I'd just like to say I've been kicking more *** than usual, try working on agility. It helped for me...

skills have nothing to do with MOVEMENT, that is how you get open for scoring opportunities.
