Ive been searching this site for while and i cant find anything about defensive footwork or positioning does anyone have any visuals that would help or something, thanks

Well, as a defense man the main priority is to keep your attack man from scoring. The most effective way is to cut off his angles to the goal. With a low angle shot, there's a low possibility of the ball getting past the keeper. So try to make the offensive player end up "down the side". If the attack man is behind the goal, keep him there.
Footwork plays a big part in being able to make the attackman go where you want. Jump roping helps a lot in producing quick feet.
