who is the most power person in the womans lacrosse game today?
Amy Appelt without a doubt. 90 goals last year, 31 assists, 121 points. The closest second was at 6o something points. Virginia will be unstoppable this year imo.

Kelly Amonte Hiller does a lot in terms of coaching, playing, and in general complimenting the game a lot.
Quinn Carney is a tremendous player, coach, and works for deBeer now.
Since it's in women's lacrosse "today" I guess Jen Adam's doesnt qualify, but still the best player of all time imo.
Amy Apelt. Holy...horse maneur (sp?). She's the most aggressive women's player I have ever seen. I hate to make a comparison to guys lacrosse that might make girl's lax sound a little inferior, but Apelt's style of play reminds me of mark millon. Very aggressive, insane dodges, incredible shooting on the run, and very quick.
I'd also like to add Gail Decker, because she was a very good women's player, is doing a lot of things for harrow right now, and she is HOTTT HOTTTT HOTTTT    :yumyum: :yumyum:

I thought you were talking about currently playing NCAA Div I.
But ......... why did you ask if you already know the answer? :naughty:

I don't think that NCAA Div 1 is the pinnacle of womens lacrosse. If you want to see who the best womens players are head on out to Annapolis this summer and watch the women's world cup.
For what it's worth, I reckon the most powerfull person in womens lacrosse is Sarah Aston. Watch this Aussie dominate at the worlds this year.
For a future power in womens lacrosse, be on the lookout for Hannah Nielsen. She played in the last U-19 worlds, is in the senior aussie team this year and is still eligible for the next u-19 team in 2007 as well.

At the moment, it is hard to see past Amy Appelt for Div 1.. But im womens lacrosse in general, i guess we will haev to wait and see what happens in Annapolis... there is going to be alot of talent out there! and from the sounds of things we might be seeing some up and coming talent! Sarah Aston from Aus is amazing though and i cant wait to see her play again! but also cant wait to see Cherie Greer, Kelly Amonte and these girls in what will probably be their last WC.

When your talking "most powerful" is that based purely on playing ability, or are you looking overall including persona, sponsorship deals, playing ability, coaching ability?? If your looking at all rounded people you can't go much further than Kelly Amonte and Jen Adams, as well as being great people and players they are great coaches and have a marketable persona...
Looking world wide, Sarah Forbes was awesome in her days as a terp but is also a great coach coaching both senior and u19 world cup teams. Then again Denise Westcott (terp in early 80s?)is doing her bit by taking her coaching abilities world wide and helping out countries to raise the overall standard of lacrosse by spending weeks in NZ and also coaching the German national team as well as stints in other countries...
It all depends on how you view "powerful".....

Alright well if we are talking sheer power by mass and speed, you can't go past who bluedevil said...Sarah Aston. I have never seen anyone be quite so domineering on the field....it's like a road train runnin at you and makes defenses poop their pants...just tryin to block her shot breaks ur stick! Could drink anyone under the table too :P

Sarah Aston got married on Saturday. No idea what her last name is now, but I'm sure she will be easy to pick out in Annapolis.

Did you just ask the question and start the post just so you could pump up Samaras? :
i would have to go with Jen Adams on this one. She is the best player in the world and a very good up and coming coach. Denver will be very good and are already maing an impact this year. Last world games, she was named the best player in the world. Her camps are awesome and lots of fun.

I agree, the Samaras Sisters & Amy Appelt are amazing. I know Crista launched this Bounce Entertainment thing, that is getting around and Amy Appelt is holding clinics w/them.

Jen Adams: Highest scorer ever in NCAA D1. All World during worlds last year. Current D1 assistant coach at Denver University. Co-founder of Elevate Lacrosse which is bringing lacrosse to all kinds of girls who may never have seen it at that level.
Let's see - dominating D1 player? Check! Dominating world class player? Check! Teaching others? Check! Bringing along the next generation of players? Check!
I don't see anything Jen has left to accomplish.
who is the most power person in the womans lacrosse game today?
Physical power? Political power? The power to inspire and move people?

I agree with wlaxgoaliedad. You could say the same about Kelly Amonte Hiller though.
