I attended the Navy home opener a week or so ago against Providence College at Branford High School in Branford, CT. It was freezing cold outside, about 23* without the wind. Navy started the game pretty strong winning the opening face off and most face offs after. They controlled the ball pretty well and were able to work the ball aroun. Now a team like Navy playing against Providence College, it's hard to really say how they did since it's not much competition but I must say they looked pretty good. Their defense held up nicely not giving up many shots while their offense was able to put goals in. Steve Looney was all over the place scoring the first goal right at the start of the game then having four more goals. At half time I ended up leaving due to the blistering cold but Navy was leading 6-1. The final score ended up being 9-2 in favor of Navy.
