so i got in my first accident today. ive had my liciense for hm a little over 4 months. definately not my fault. i got rear ended on the freeway in traffic. but since i wasnt supposed to be driving on the highway and i had passengers which im also not allowed to do. AND i lied about where i was gonna be and who i was with. im in deep ****. like cell phone taken away, car gone, liciense gone, "house arrest like martha stewart" indefinently. the list goes on. basically my parents are gonna kill me.
so does anyone have any good stories about accidents and or getting in trouble?
or anything at all to make me feel better? :(

My first accident was on the way to a concert about 3 weeks after I got my liscense. It was my fault I pulled out infront of car but it wasn't that bad neither of us had any real damage at all to our cars.
My seconds accident was like 2 weeks ago. I was driving down this real main turnpike and a car took a left turn right in front of me and I slammed into his car. My car has been getting body work for about a week and a half, I get it back wednesday ($2500 worth of work) not my fault but still suckd super bad. Both times I was fortunate enough not to get hurt but I almost got arrested for disturbing the peace after the guy cut me off cuz I was spzazzing out.
The only thing I can say to help you is that lots of people get into accidents and getting into one where its not your fault soon after getting your liscense isn't that bad. Getting into accidents sucks but now atleast you'll know what to do if it happens again. Just be glad your ok and your parents will get over it, surprisingly both accidents I got in my parents were relieved I was okay that they didn't get mad at me.

Me friends got up to play paintball early today and it was like 10 am and it was me, my friend, and his brother in one car, and another kid in another car and to other kids in another car. But anyways we were coming back home on the interstate and we flew by him at about 75-80mph but the speed limit was only 55 and he tried to keep up with us but fell behind.
So we got the exit and it has two lanes and you have to merge into traffic. SO I was in a different lane and there was a car in front of him and I pulled out real fast and he was going to try and beat us so the car beside me started to go but stopped and he turned to look over his shoulder and didnt see that she stopped and smacked into the back of her.
That wasnt the worst part. He was supposed to be at an SAT Preparation class from 8:30-12:30 but he blew it off to play paintball and so his dad found out he skipped class got into a wreck at 10:15 and smarted off to an officer. SO he got a big ticket and lost his car for a while. But then he also told on one of the kids who was riding with me cause he was in the class too. His face when he hit the car was so funny. What a great day

I got into an accident on the way to a lacrosse game. A lady spilt cofee and came over into my lane and nailed me on the side. It took a couple hours for the cop to come. I made it to the game right as it began and I started.

My brothers friend was driving his dad's Viper (they're rich) to go to work, and he was getting on the highway. He was a little to far over on the part in between the on ramp and the highway so he started to lose control. He put his foot on the gas and spun out even more which caused him to get hit broadside by a big semi truck. The Viper was totalled but The only thing that happened to him was some blood and a broken rib. So, he didn't even go to the doctor, which is amazing because to get out he had to bust the roof off.

From my driving experience, you'll be alright as long as you don't do anything stupid, and don't blatantly break any laws, whether you think you've got a good reason or not. With saying this, I'll admit I've done both, but I've been lucky enough to not have anything happen.

my most recent accident was in october, i was coming home from a big soccer game and my friend was driving who only had his license for about a week or two so he wasn;t supposed to have anyone else in the car. we were at an intercection and he didn't look left and pulled out and a car hit us that was going about 50. everyone was ok so one my friends had the idea of just running away from the accident so our friend that was driving wouldn't get a big fine for having other people in the car. so we ran down the road and got in someone elses car. in the end though he told the cops that he had other people in the car so they just called everyones house. everything turned out ok and he just go his license suspended for a month.

I have had my license for just over two months and have been driving myself for over a year now... Yeah, no accidents though because I am an excellent driver. When your parents let you drive the vehicle from Boston to CT when moving you know they trust you.

Less than 2 months after I got my licence I got into an accident. I was on my way to a hockey game. I had just gone through an intercetion where there was a cop and it looked like had been an accident. When I got to the next intersection I could see an ambulance coming so waited for it to go through. Then after as I was pulling through it I saw head lights coming at me and tried to speed up. Crash!
I was T-Boned on my side spinning my car around. It scared the **** out of me. The whole left side of the car was crashed in badly BUT my door was only crashed in a little bit. I don't know how or why that was the only part not horribly bent, but it was. I ended up having a broken left clavical (collarbone) probably caused by the seatbelt, broken scapula (shoulder blade or something), and a hairline fracture of a rib or two.
I thought my parents were going to kill me but I was not punished at all. Like nrvlc said, they were relieved I was ok, so I wasn't. I initially didn't see the car or actually pickup truck that hit me because there is a hill that dips down just before where you cannot see vehicles in. I always look left twice now going through that intersection.
this is a sign: god HATES hockey.

my parents are super pissed tho cuz i lied to them like everyday about what i was doing, so i could drive my friends since none of them have their license yet. anyway, atleast i dont have to pay. but my parents are in like super anal mode. and i pretty much cant do anything ever again, i'm under "house arrest like martha stewart" indefinently. but they are gonna cover for me and tell the cops that they gave me persmission to have passengers. but im still in deep ****. like im such a good kid and seriously never lied to my parents until i got my license. yeah this is pretty much the first time i have gotten in trouble, ever lol

You screwed yourself so why do you inadvertently ask for our pity? It's not worth chancing it.

Yeah, you have to take responsibilites for your actions. And you're not even paying for the bill, you got off lucky. Looks like the car, insurance, and cell phone mom and dad are paying for are gone, that's your own fault. But you can think of it this way: "If that is the worst thing that ever happens to you, you'll live a damn good life."

Aww crap, now you have no cell phone? Damn, that's harsh.
You broke the passenger restriction law and you deserve to have your license suspended. :whyme:

I haven't been in a car accident since I was five. I don't even remember it though. The only part that I can remember was me lying in the hospital bed with a broken arm and broken collar bone....and all the scary x-rays and the scary cast taker offer saw thingy...

I got in my first accident before I even had my liscense, well basically I was pulling in the garrage after I took my nice joyride, and yes i was the coolest 15 year old up untill the tire blew, and I swerved the car into the side of my garrage door, the coolest part was that I didnt get in trouble, I dont know why, but my rents were pretty sweet about it
