View Full Version : Ball hitting the top of the head
I recently restrung my cyber, first time stringing, and I posted some pictures and everyone said I did a pretty good job. The problem is that when I throw it feels like the ball is hitting the top plastic of the head which is really annoying. I'm thinking about adding another shooting string up higher towards the top of the pocket to see if it fixes the problem. If anyone can help me out with this problem it would be greatly appreciated. The one thing thats really cool about it is that I can do this sick lacrosse trick with the head which I'll record and show you guys tomorrow, its unbelievable. Oh btw here are some pics of the pocket

try that top shooter idea...should work

to get rid of it hiting the plastic put one straight nylon across the top as tight as posible. see picture

Alright I'm gonna put another shooting string and the very top nylon if it's neccessary, thanks for the help.

a kid on my team last year had the same problem, he put in another shooting string and it helped

You strung your nylon wrong the nylon isnt tight enough, i think that is why the ball is hitting the plastic.

i think the extra shooting string would work...also you might wanna consider tightening all of your shooting strings

No, if you tighten then all it will increase whip. Unless you want whip only tighten the strings toward the top. I had the same problem this morning with my evo, I added another shooter to the top and now it's release is like a dream.
I added another shooting string and the top nylon and it's throwing perfectly now thanks for the help guys.

i feel the need to revive this thread. I partly got the idea from kryptic, although I did think of a version of a dye with flames a little while before kryptic did it. But seeing his just reinvigorated me wanting to do it.
