Situation:
New School, Catholic School.
Two schools on the club.
Before practice last night and before players arrived, an incident occured where two players got into a scuffle (minor). When I noticed the red scratches on a players neck, I heard from one of the players that the kid got in a fight with his girlfriend. I approached him after practice and got his side of the story which stated he was hit in the back with a ball on purpose and the scuffle ensued.
Positives:
Team kept it from me..shows cohesiveness
Nothing serious occured
Negatives:
Incident was between a black and white player (black player is the invitee school)
If invitee player started the fight, may have repurcussions with the host school.
So, the question is, what should I do at tonight's practice? I am naming captains and could let them sort it out, I could make the team suffer (run) as one, I could make all involved suffer, I could make the two guys who fought suffer, or I could do nothing.
Thoughts welcome.
