Last night as I was watching the HOyas game, I ws watching Brodie Merril. That man is amazing. Hes so big and is so great at all kinds of defense. He can throw sick takeway checks, play great position defense, and is a beast on 1-on-1's. He is so fast and strong. What makes Merril even more effective, is that he is an offensive threat.

I agree his was phenomenal. You can really see his "box style" in everything he does. I'll tell you what the MLL team that picks him up will get a starter right off the bat.

Ya i know that was sick. I saw him running down the field and then wind up and rip. I definetly would never want to go against him. The sickest thing was when he came running out of no where and threw and over the head check to some cuse guy. Although the check had no effect, it was still sweet.

Cool interview. When asked about the best defenseman besides himself, he mentions Reyn Garnett, who is the brother of my coach. I also met him last summer for our school's lacrosse training camp.

Screw MLL, he's going to tear up the NLL as a great 2-way defender/transition kind of guy. Big, strong, fast, tough as nails, and can shoot.

Watching him play box last summer was a treat.

I've seen Merril play in person a few times. He is unbelievable, he does it all. He is a great guy also.

I saw Merrill play at the First 4 hear in southern cal. He was absolutely amazing on one on ones and takeaway checks. He also blew a sidearm shot past jay pheifer which was pretty sick. I think he was far and away the best pole in the NCAA this year.
