about how many goals a game did you score in middle school? and this is my first year playing im in eighth grade in nc and i was also wondering about how many goals would be a reasonable goal to try and reach for goals a game

You should focus more on improving your game and your teams game. If your goal is always to score, you probably won't get along with your teammates well. So rather than always shooting, look for the open man if you don't have a clear shot.

I got 5 in my last game... I'm mid.

The only reason is practice..

You should strive for zero goals.. don't force the issue.. if you take good shots and don't hog the ball, the goals will just come to you. don't even think about scoring.. just do what is fundamentally right during game situations the goals will seem easier.

How many times have you seen someone who won't pass the ball, takes bad shots, and pretty much blows the game.. well they are trying too hard and frankly are selfish.

just play and they will come.

8th grade I averaged, 2, maybe on attack? I had been playing for 3 years though. Don't worry about goals, try to win the game and do what you are coached to do. After a while, a pretty assist feels better than getting a goal anyway. If its your first year playing, you should just focus on becoming a better player, like other guys said.

8th grade- 46

its called practice my friend....thats all you should worry about is gettin better, not how many goals you get your first year

2 or 3 would b reasonable for a average player on the middle school level. 20 goals in a season is pretty good

when I played attack I had more assists than goals. IMO, assists are better than goals.

^^^^Why, because you can't score?

No, Just kidding, but I agree. It makes you feel good to score but even better to make a sweet assist. And it keeps you in good feelings with your team mates.

i averaged maybe 4 playin mid. im a freshman this year playin jv so hopefully i can bring my record along with me. i had at least 4-5 assists each game, which probably helped out the team more than me taking shots. it kinda sucks though when u had an amazing assist to someone for an extremely easy goal and the person who scored feels the need to hog all the glory. not to strive for attention on the field, but whenever i score off an assist i always give props to the guy.

My team is so selfish. Its full of kids who every time they get the ball shoot it no matter how many people are in front of them or where they are.

Um... no.
don't force the issue..

Yes.

Loko at it this way. Take whatever your ideal goal amount is, double it, and that should be the assist amount. Team players.

I would say go for even amounts of goals and assists, b/c you want to be a team player, but you need to let everyone else get assists too? right?
