Time to change coaches at Carolina.. today's second sloppy, sluggish game in a week against lower ranked opponents is just too much for Carolina to come back from.. I think this week they will fall out of the top 20.. and thats unfortunate because they have the talent.. They are just undisciplined in games and therefore must be undisciplined in practice.. If this coach wants to save his job he needs to crush these guys at practice.. they start games slow, they lose every face-off no matter who their playing.. they don't go for body or ball on groundballs and just kind of jog around while their opponent is running by them and knocking them around.. I am truly disgusted with what I thought would be a comeback year for the Tarheels.. This season is over and should just continue as a learning experience.. too bad for Prossner that he's a senior.. Had 5 goals today but he can't do it all.. even in the last 2 min down by 4 they had no sense of urgency on offense.. I just don't get it.. They deserve to drop from the top 20.. See ya later Carolina.. come back when you get a coach.. hbm :crying: :bye:

At first I was about to agree with you HBM...
I won't count them out just yet.
I don't know if Hofstra played better (they looked like arse-soup their first 3 games), or if UNC just played WORSE.
I think the next game will be do or die for both these teams. If Hofstra can beat Princeton, they might be turning the early season jitters off. If not, it proves this game was a fluke and they are back to playing wretchedly.
If UNC can bounce back and use their talent and beat Duke, they might be able to get some momentum back. It will be tough as in the span of two weeks, they play #3, 12, 4, 1. If I were Prossner as a captain, I'd be ripping the team a new hole for their lazy lackluster outings.

Agree with HBM--John Haus has had success @ d3 and @ Hopkins, but I would not consider him to be a very good coach. A friend of mine at an anonymous college was down 2 with a minute left, and he overheard Haus instructing his (Hopkins) players to put their helmets into their knees, take out their knees, or do anything to take their opponents out of the game, since the opponents were playing with high energy and urgency to even the score. Didn't John Chaney just do the same thing at Temple? And his job is in jeopardy. Haus is dirty, and I do not see his programs going anywhere. Haus is not in the same anthology as a coach like Dave Klarmann.
Carolina is a good team, and I want to see them do well.
