any one have any good ideas b/c god knows the MLL will have some stupid contest to name the teams...
San Diego:
Surge
Swell
Typhoon
anything surf/ocean related
Washington/Seattle:
Skippers
...yea i cant think of much today

yea i know they are adding like 6 new teams but i dont know the cities..

Dallas Drive (as in cattle drive)
Arizona Javelina (wild pig-like animal)
Columbus Kings
Philadelphia Pioneers (i dont know, just popped into my head)
Bay City Bombers (San Fran/Oakland)
Texas Tornadoes (Huston or other city)
Seattle Jacks (Lumberjacks, i think forestry is big there)
Seattle Hackers (im on a computer, so i gotta holla at bill gates)
Detroit Dodge
Michigan Bucks
Carolina Gales
Pittsburgh Pile (steel pile drivers?)

Phoenix Burn (its hot there)
San Fransico Fog (its foggy there)
Los Angeles Crosse-fire (so in the standings: LA Crosse-fire)
Seattle Blackhawks (for Lockheed Martin)
Denver Silverkings (for the big silver drive there in the 1800's)
Dallas Riggers (for the texas oil barrons)

dont know about phoenix burn or seattle blackhawks. burn was used in dallas for mls and blackhawks outside of chicago? not so much.

i dont think it has nething to do with ppl thinking it wouldnt do well in toronto. i think they just wanna successfully expand in the US first. which takes me back to the topic a few days ago about how they should just slowly expand, not just pop pop here and there, ya know? and unless its final, looks like they already made up a schedule for next year and r just goin to go for expansion for 2005. that toally sucks, but not much we can do about it. lets just hope things continue going up for lacrosse. which im optimistic about

it doesnt look like there will be any expansion with the new schedule posted on the major league lacrosse website

i wonder if they will expand this year, but just not start operations till 2005, similar to the new charlotte franchise in the nba, although that is the nba and much more start up capital and preparation is needed.

hey detroit, did u ever realize that if toronto gets a team, you have MLL only like 4 hrs. away?????
betcha you didn't realize that....
i agre with 8 'ball, this expansion in NLL and MLL has me fearing two things, like the NHL, failing teams and lower competition!!!!!

well if columbus gets a team, its just as close.plus i dont know that i would drive 4 hours to see a game. if i end up in college in ohio, then ill drive to columbus for a game.

im from the san fransico area and i do like the name "THE SF FOG". but it does ryme with... something it well known for.
