This weekend is shaping up to be choc full of ridiculously important games.

UVA vs Hop - #1 vs #2...both undefeated...

MD vs UNC - #4 vs #19...dont let the #19 fool you it will still be a great game...MD who stumbled against Dartmouth last week is taking on UNC who is comming off of a win against Cornell, and still does have talent to pull off an upset against almost anyone

Duke vs Georgetown - #3 vs #5 Duke is 8-0, but hasn't faced too much strong competition...GT after getting crushed by MD in the first week, has gone undefeated and beaten better opponents than Duke

ND vs Hofstra - #9 vs #13 - ND has consistently been decent all year...Hofstra struggled alot in the beginning but has since pulled off 3 wins in a row...this is a big game for both as this is the last ranked team ND plays (if they lose it looks bad for them not being able to beat quality teams)...this is also big for Hofstra as they are launching what appears to be either a comeback or a fluky 3 games

D2, D3, and Wms notes to follow

UVA/Hop this year is looking like what people expected LAST year: both undefeated. Hop has looked somewhat clunky thus far but still wins. UVA is playing with some fire.

I like MD over UNC but I can't really decide why.

If anyone has enough defensive muscle to slow down Duke, I imagine its Gtown. Corno probably swings this matchup in favor of the Hoyas.

Hofstra so far is a big surprise the last few weeks. But I'm going to pick against them and take the Irish to win.

to me the biggest game this weekend in terms of NCAA playoff implications may be the Princeton/SU game. The loser is going to take away their 4th loss on the season, with alot of tough games still on each of their schedules. In a year where I think the only way you get a 6 loss team in is via autobid, this is a huge game for both squads due to the fact I don't think given their schedules that either teams wins out the rest of the way. Given the number of quality teams that will be looking for at-large bids, I can't see a 6 loss team getting in.
