Paul Gait is coming out of retirement for the balance of Colorado's games this 2005 season (including playoffs).
Paul will make his return on 4/1 against MN

WOW!! That's big news! I guess Paul knees are better. Looks like Gary and Colorado really really want this Championship.

Calgary will still shut them down. Though it is pretty cool that they're both playing together again.

Good luck with that!

Toronto shut the two of them down (2 years in a row). However, Toronto didn't have to deal with Gavin Prout on the other side....although Del Halladay and Matt Shearer almost killed the Rock!

And there coming to AZ on April 9 - Great news (even if it is bad news for the Sting). Can't believe the kids get to see the Gait bros in action.

Any idea what shape Paul is in? Has he just been behind a desk or active?

Ain't gonna help? I think he'll help. Maybe not a HUGE impact, but it will also be a bigger draw especially for away games. A last chance to see BOTH Gait brothers in action together.
Looks like Im taking a road trip to Roch to watch them play together in maybe their last game (last regular season game).

I am definatly going to watch them play when they come to Rochester. It makes me so happy to hear that Paul is back, I remember as a kid in youth he would come and teach us in our winter indoor things. Paul and Gary were deffinatly the reason why me and my Twin played...We wanted to be like the Gait Brothers, Now me and my bro are going to play together at the DI level....ALL THANKS TO THE GAIT BROTHERS.

I'm making that same trip, Steg.

Let me know if you're going to be there, we can enjoy a beer or five and enjoy watching the Gaits tee up on O'Toole!

To many chiefs not enough Indians i say.......you need chemestry and there is only 1 ball.........guess we will see. and if he's in shape then I would be reaaaalllllly suprised.

Actaully from what ive heard from Langtry is that Paul is supposed to be in great shape at the moment. I don't see anyone in the league that ca stop us now. Besides, the whole chemistry arguement isnt a issue...THEY'RE BROTHERS cant have much more chemistry than that.

Jarzombek

I'll argue that Paul will add to the chemistry. Watching Colorado this year, many of Gary's passes go by the offense - even at his age his skills are unmatched. Remember Gretsky on the Rangers??? Anyway, Paul and Gary combine to make mind boggling lax, catch 'em while you can . . .We are indeed lucky for this second chance.

I agree about the second chance this will never happen again so hurry up and get tix! Hopefuly this will spark some more interest in the NLL and the champions cup if COL makes it.......

See that's the point though. There is 1 ball. There is a ton of good players on that team. They already have trouble working with what they have. For that roster and skill they have trouble puting the ball in the net. So when another superstar comes along (brother or not who hasn't played together in 3 years)does it get better or worse. I am sure they can free up each other up on the left side but what do the other 3 guys do? Do they get in the mix or get overlooked.

I mean they score a bunch on bad teams but when it comes to scoring on the good ones will it work.

They had Ted Dowling who is close to that caliber in points and offensive threat in the NLL and he didnt work there. But he did work in Calgary and I bet he will again the rest of this year.

This is a team that needs chemestry. Not a 2 man game. They have not shown it with an 7-5 record to this point with that roster.

Know what i mean? Guess we will see. But it's nice to see that 22 and 19 will probably head to the rafters together.

Nope hes here for 4 games and then the next three in the playoffs:) Like ive said in another thread...the Mammoth just need to figure out that Langtry is the spark in there offense and he needs to play. Then on the defensive side stop letting people into the middle it makes it next to impossible for Gee to make a save.

nothing is imposible for gee nash.he lead the broklin red men to the semi finals-but he didnt have the guys on offense that could finsh at the other end.and before that theres the 1999 minto cup whitby warriors.long story short GEE NASH one of the best to ever stand in the way of a lacrosse ball

Well watching him this season there appears to be somethings that are impossible. Not saying that he isnt a fantastic goalie, but the defense needs to help him out a bit

Where will the playoff games be held because I really would like to go to one of the games if it is close enough tome hear in Virginia.

The closest venue that could possibly host a playoff game to you would be Philly. But I wouldn't count on them making the playoffs.

Why not just go to a regular season game? The Wings still have two home games left (April 2, and April 9).

I would definately agree that Langtry has been on fire. Against Anaheim, he was awesome. He put in one after another. He's such an exciting player to watch.
