Brockport St. jumped out to a 8-0 first quarter lead in route to defeating an outmanned Cazenovia College team 20-4 yesterday at RIT.
It was clear from the start that this was going to be a long day for Cazenovia, who entered the game with 3 subs in total, for a program that has struggled to develop and has failed to keep an opponent under 20 goals so far this season. Brockport's starters were done for the day after about 1 quarter of play as it gave a chance for Brockport's young squad to get some experience. Brockport lead 12-0 at halftime and 19-2 after 3 quarters of play. The game was marked by generally sloppy play, as many of Cazenovia's players were either exhausted or inexperienced, and many of Brockport's players were seeing their first real game action of their college careers. Tons of turnovers, sloppy passing, etc. were the theme of the day.
Hopefully Cazenovia can have some success and overcome its recruiting troubles that have plagued the development of the program to this point.
