Nice to see two Nova Schools in there … HB Langley (VA) & Woodson (VA) :naughty:

Dont worry about it, Langley and Woodson are very good teams and should be up there. As long as a NOVA School is representin its all good. Oakton always gets the shortend of the stickl it happend it football and its happening now.

Coronado should not be honorable mention. Despite that they did beat Wantagh by one goal they lost to Torrey Pines who is terrible this year.

Let me preface this with "I don't think Coronado should be an honorable mention either."

However.... TP's record is a lot worse than their team is. They have some good atheletes at attack and 2 large aggressive defensemen, but are definitely not as good as last year. That said, I don't think "terrible" would be how I would describe them. Yes, they lost to SDA, RLS, and Monte Vista-Danville, but those 3 schools are not ones to take lightly (though I think RLS was a mental issue where TP didn't take them seriously, and SDA has those twin brothers at attack that are REAL good).

Also, they're going through a coaching change and graduated all of their best players from last years' powerhouse (so they're fielding a lot of seniors who were juniors riding pine last year).

I know I sound like the TP excuse promoter or someone who is part of their team, but I coach for another school... one who hates them (and beat them the other night :).

All i gotta say is St. Pauls only beat Episcopal school of Dallas by 2. And ESD isnt nearly as good as Highland Park.

oakton got more than they deserved last year in laxpower. st. chris should have been first in va easily last year. and stab is not the same power house this year. they wouldnt win as many games as they do if there wasnt serious home cooking up there. we would've have beat them if we werent man down the whole time. they would call pokechecks on the golves a slash. and then nothing for stab.

Yeah I would rather see Mercer Island on the honorable mention list if any West Coast teams deserve to get on. I might be a little early calling it, but I think they can pull an upset or two on their East Coast trip.
