yeah. push'em out and then check for their stick and the ball. don't let them get above GLE, or goal line extended

**I should have clarified: 1 on 1s when YOU have the ball

#1 thing to do is create some space.. Start your dodge outside the restraining line from the wings, and from almost the out of bounds line at x.

When you pull your defender that far out, it should be much easier to beat him, and the slides have to travel much farther to get to you once you have beaten the pole. *don't hang your stick once you have beaten your d man*

Another thing to do is to dodge as soon as you get the ball. Don't catch it, do a little fake, pull it out, pause, then go.. you have to catch it.. sprint, make your dodge (one move) and then go.
If he stops you, pull it back out and try again or pass it.

If you beat your man, look directly behind the sliding defenders, your crease man should be cutting behind him, almost following him.. that's where the best feed should be.. or if you have an angle for a shot, take it.. Don't shoot high when you come around to the front of the goal.. shoot hip-high or between the legs.

when i say 1 on 1s, i literally mean 1 on 1s. you, a defender, and the goalie. thats it. so passing it off is not an option, and the d man knows its coming.

What I found to work is start with you strong hand, mine is right so I sprint up the right side stop plant foot and turn around and go the other way, and do the same thing. If I can go fast enough I can usally get the defender to go right past me and usually leave me enough room to get to the goal.
