you play lacrosse in georgia?
do a lot of people play lax in georgia, I didnt know there was lacrosse that far down south.....

yeah, it's just somethin we do in our spare time when we're not makin moonshine, chasin coons out of the corn field, or pickin cotton. No, but seriously... it's not huge down here yet, but it's growin pretty quick, esp around atlanta. we're havin more and more good players comin out of georgia every year.

i play at ayl in geogia and we kick any team that we have played in the south. Actually atlanta had good skill at least. Im not sure about gwinet and forsyth. We have played teams from alabama sc nc and tennesse

There are 24 teams in Georgia for the 2004 season. Out of those teams two of those teams ranked in at the top 100 (61 and 67). 8 other teams ranked in the top 500. Meaning the lowest ranked team out of those eight (two in the low hundreds) was better than 73% of the national competition. This is all according to lax power, however much faith you want to put in that.
Lacrosse continues to grow in the state mainly around Atlanta, with plenty of schools having club teams and non-varsity teams, while other areas and not just school fielding teams. It doesn't compare to states in which almost every HS has a team, but its become quite common in the area... so much that in certain areas new schools come built with lacrosse frields.
