Taping Sidewalls

I've heard of some people doing this, and have seen some kids on other teams using it...and I was wondering if you guys could answer a few questions about it.


First off -- Is it legal?
What's the point of taping them, is it to hide the ball or something?
And if you have taped your sidewalls, could you post somes pics?
